The logo is based on Beckham's unique style
of taking free kicks, and no doubt adidas
are hoping that it will help Beckham do for
them what Michael Jordan did for Nike. (Though
the logo design seems to us a long way from
the iconic quality of the 'Air Jordan' logo.)
"We
think he can sell everything,"
said Herbert Hainer, adidas's Chief Executive.
According to Mr Hainer, Beckham "has
a lot of things coming together. He's a very
good footballer, he's passionate, good looking,
very professional, not arrogant and the fans
believe what he says."
If only he could learn to speak proper too.
